Named in honor of the precision and skill required to place a Champion Golfer of the Year’s name onto the Claret Jug, Champions hospitality delivers a handcrafted experience perfect for those looking to celebrate golf’s oldest Major Championship. Situated right over the 16th hole at Royal St. George’s, this hospitality space is precisely placed to afford guests the option to get away from the action while also having easy access right back into the crowds and to walk the course throughout the day. Complete with the finest cuisine and lifestyle accommodations, there’s no better way to experience The 149th Open.
Q&A with Past or Present Player
The Open Experiences is bringing you face-to-face with the best that golf’s oldest Major has to offer - literally. Guests are treated to a special Q&A from a past or present golfer who will spend an afternoon in Champions hospitality.
In 2018, we were joined by 5-Time Champion Golfer of the Year Tom Watson, who chatted about his playing career and legacy and stayed to take photos with guests and the Claret Jug.
We will inform all customers of The Open Experiences when the guest golfer for The 2020 Open is confirmed.
Start your day off at Royal St. George’s with a Full English Breakfast, including cultural staples like warm pastries, fruit selections, smoothies and more. And don’t worry - a copy of the morning paper is included with breakfast.
In the afternoon, head back to hospitality for a four-course lunch featuring local produce. Following lunch, guests are treated to proper English tea in the afternoon.
In between or during meals, sample any of the selections available in the fully complimentary bar located inside hospitality. Open throughout the day, the bar carries fine wines, beer, Champagne, house spirits, soft drinks and more.
Overlooking the 16th Hole
The Champions hospitality location is not only perfect for course walkability - it also gives guests an unmatched view overlooking the entirety of No.16 at Royal St. George’s.
This 163-yard Par-3 may look easy on the eyes with a straight fairway, but eight bunkers lie in wait for even the slightest mistakes. Through The Open Experiences, enjoy the best vantage point of the action.
Guests have the luxury of watching all the day’s action at No.16 from the comfort of the climate-controlled hospitality space and not missing a moment of the Championship from the live tv coverage. They will also enjoy access to the viewing balcony overlooking No.16 in a private suite on the second floor of the hospitality space.
The perks of Champions hospitality go beyond just the physical space. Guests of The Open Experiences receive exclusive extras like a VIP parking pass (1 per 2 guests), an official admission ticket for The Open, a souvenir programme, order of play and much more.
This, plus the other exclusive extras that come with an Official Experience Package, make The Open Experiences the best way to interact with everything at Royal St. George’s.
